When fishing, anglers can expect to catch a variety of fish including Largemouth Bass. Northeast Anderson Lake (south of Ensign Rd in Bloomington) was drained a few years ago to take care of undesireable pond weeds. It has not recovered and is unfishable. They are public waters but there is not a good access or any sort of fishing pier.
Catching 3 to 10 fish per day, with largest going about 2 lb, and average about 1 1/4 lb. Easiest to catch on 4" drop shot worms.

Anderson Lake is a reservoir located just 2.8 miles from Morgan Hill, in Santa Clara County, in the state of California, United States. Whether you’re fly fishing, baitcasting or spinning your chances of getting a bite here are good. Anderson Ranch Reservoir is most notably a Kokanee fishery; however, anglers can also catch Rainbow Trout, Bull Trout, Fall Chinook, Smallmouth Bass, Yellow Perch, and the occasional Mountain Whitefish. Depending on the Spring, Kokanee fishing typically starts in mid/late April. Early season, Kokanee can be caught relatively shallow (1-15 feet).
